If you want to have a MLM business you will need to learn to work it as a money making enterprise instead of just a hobby. You may be saying, “I don’t work it like a hobby,” but if you don’t have a plan and are working the plan then you aren’t being serious. An mlm business opportunity requires that you have a goal and sub-goals in order to get to the finish line.
Do you know what you will do today and tomorrow and then next day to grow your mlm home business? Any day that goes by in which you didn’t have a plan and you didn’t work that plan is a wasted day in your business. You can’t have too many of these rudderless days before you can give up any hope of building your network marketing organization into something that will give you the revenue stream you desire. You should have planned out every day what steps you are going to take to reach your business goals.
One idea that works well is to have your days planned out three days in advance. So, for example, you would have today lined out, tomorrow, and the next day. Each day you will have mini goals such as a short plan to increase your warm list and the number of people you will contact. Who you will follow up with. Which customers you will contact. All of these are good uses of your time but if you don’t lay the plan your mlm home based business will quickly run astray.
The people who stand up on the stage each year at your organizational meetings are the ones who had a plan and then worked that plan. There are very few people who are successful in this business who don’t plan what they are going to do and when they are going to do it.
You also need to have longer term plans for your mlm business opportunities. Such as how many people you will sponsor this month. How many of your down line you will meet with to do training, who those members are and what you will teach. If you have monthly goals, weekly goals, and three day goals then you will always have something to do and you will quickly be able to see if you are staying on track or not.
There is a saying that goes, “Things that get measured, get improved.” By having a written list of steps you will be able to measure your progress and know if you are staying on track. Nobody gets successful by just waiting for mlm business leads to come along. This is called playing the lottery and you might as well go buy a ticket if this is how you are going to work your enterprise. Personally, I think my life is too important to leave to chance. I have goals and things I want to accomplish and I know I will not get those by sitting around waiting for a mlm business lead to materialize out of thin air. Instead I am going to plan, work my plan, check my plan, and then modify my plan to get where I want to be.
